What Was Your Childhood Like?

August 20th, 2007 LS411 Admin Posted in non-profit No Comments »

My parents had a rocky marriage, my dad drank to much and that definitely affected my life.

For this reason I care that our youth who may not even have a dad around get the information they need to have a happier life than I did.

My mom locked me out of our house when I was 16 after an argument and I never want to see other children who don’t have another relationship to turn to when a parent child relationship becomes damaged.

My mom and I are best of friends now and I love her dearly but we did pay the price and do the work. Much of the work we did is directly due to the lifeskills 411 event we both attended.

We had taken our relationship where we could and lifeskills made our bond deeper and allowed us to clear up wounds we still felt and we now work on the effects of our past and are really seeing joy from our relationship.

I support lifeskills 411 because my childhood was traumatic. I want to give so I can spare others the pain I suffered.
